These series of unique photos were taken under the old West Side Highway that ran along the Hudson river side of Manhatten. Taken at night, no flash with Tri-x Film, around 1982.

These images are part of a book that I am publishing about the night life of the West village, and the culture that grew under the shelter of the abandoned elevated highway.
